It's A...

Girl!

I am sure most of you know by now that I am having a little girl. I am super excited! Her name is going to be Sophia Elizabeth Ann.

She was not very cooperative at the ultrasound. My mom, sister, Nannie and Dalton went with me on Monday, May 11, 2009. We all went into the room and she refused to move her leg so that we could get a clear view. The ultrasound lady tried for an extended period of time to get her to move by having me lay on one side and then the other. She wiggled my belly and poked me with that ultrasound wand. Finally she gave up and told me to meet with the doctor and then return after that.

I met with Dr. Goolsby and right after that I went back into the ultrasound room. Again no luck. The ultrasound lady told me I could come back the following morning. I drank a huge cup of coffee and half a Mt. Dew on the way there. It still took quite a while to get her to move her leg out of the way but eventually she moved and we were able to see that she is a little girl.

I am in hopes that this is not going to be any type of indication of how she plans on behaving once she arrives.

Will it be a boy or a girl?

Today is the big day! My doctor's appointment is at 3:30 this afternoon and I think this is the longest day I have EVER had to endure.
We did a prediction chart with both second grade classes this morning.
I am going to surprise them and bring a colorful treat based on what we find out this afternoon.

17 Weeks 2 Days

I took this picture last Wednesday and now it is already time to put up another one. I just can't stay caught up.
As you can see the baby is starting to grow very rapidly at this point. I am feeling much better and starting to get some of my energy back.
Sunday evening I got sick and was up all night with what I think may have been some type of virus. I haven't been that sick in a long time.
I go back to the doctor in six days to get my gender ultrasound. I will finally know what I am having. I am very excited and cannot wait!
I have started a prenatal aquatics class at the hospital and I love it. I would love to be able to swim everyday. I will be very excited when summer gets here and I can spend my time laying out by the pool and swimming. Look out July... Cocoa Beach here I come! I am also doing some yoga too. I am hoping that it is going to help out a lot when I go into labor.
